New 86″ touch displays from NEC for X-Pro research

Three new touch-based NEC displays purchased for X-Pro.

In the second year of the project, three new NEC displays were acquired. The large-format touch displays have a diagonal of 86″. As a result, each X-Pro location in Hagenberg, Steyr and Wels has now received one of the new displays. With the displays, the X-Pro team can now work effectively on cross-reality prototypes. In particular, this project focuses on data analysis of graph-based and volumetric data at different stages along the reality-virtuality continuum. This allows us to combine the large format touch display with head-mounted displays and provide users with a smooth transition between different types of representation for visual data analysis.
